Chronicle of a Medieval Fair: Our Gaming Route Through Spain

We dressed in period costumes, loaded boxes, decks of cards, banners… and set off on an adventure.

Ever since we launched Culture Games, we knew that games had to travel. It's not enough to be in stores or on a nice website: they need to be taken to where people live, where history is breathed, where culture is celebrated. And that's where medieval fairs come in.

2025 has been (and continues to be) an intense year. We have traveled through towns and cities, from north to south, participating in historical fairs, themed markets, and cultural gatherings where our brand fits perfectly (or like a deck of cards in hand, in this case).

Why medieval fairs?

Because they are the perfect place where tradition and play go hand in hand.
Each fair is a journey back in time, an ideal setting to showcase our games based on heritage, history, and popular culture.

And we assure you: seeing people enjoy the experience of "TRAICIÓN: El Último Voto" is priceless.

What we have experienced (and learned)

We have shared tables with potters, troubadours, blacksmiths, and bakers who make bread as they did 400 years ago.
We have soaked up the local stories they told us between one enigma and another. And yes, we have also been part of the show: explaining the games with humor, dramatizing scenes, and even improvising an enigma in Calafell square when people asked for more.

Moreover, at each stop, we gather new ideas, valuable feedback, and, most beautifully, a sense of community.

    What have we noticed?

    1. Genuine curiosity: people are surprised to see games that talk about places they know, their festivals, their history.

    2. Laughter: because even in a cultural context, play works. And if there's betrayal and crazy twists… even more so.

    3. Generational connection: grandparents playing with grandchildren, youngsters explaining rules to their parents. Living culture, unfiltered.

    Still on the road

Our goal is clear: to continue bringing Culture Games to every corner where there is history to tell… and a desire to play.

If you go to a fair, look closely among the leather stalls and swords: you might see our tent, some cards on the table, and someone saying:

—"Hello! Do you want to try your luck with one of our riddles?"

We'd love for you to join the game.
